King’s is a friendly welcoming church conveniently situated in Ramsgate Town Centre. The church celebrates each persons individuality and members are encouraged to serve practically and spiritually and to give something back into the local community. Each time of worship is spirit-led and focuses on the Word of God in the Bible. The church is housed in a 100-year-old cinema building which needs a lot of maintenance and re-furbishment. The trustees have therefore decided to open up the church to the community to help fund the necessary building work. The stage has been extended and a varied programme of events is planned for 2011.
The Kings Church began as a small fellowship in the early 1980s founded by Michael & Naomi Skelton. After meeting in various venues including homes, a school, the grounds of a catholic monastery The church was able in November 1986 to purchase the old Kings Cinema in Kings Place, Ramsgate. Between November & February a team of volunteers from the church worked hard to renovate the building. The opening service took place in February 1987 with guest speaker George Verwer. The church continued to grow with a thriving worship group, street Outreach, youth group, children’s ministry, seniors ministry & international student outreach & a bible school.
Today the Kings is a very different church, in 2004 with a fresh vision to reach the local community in the town centre in Ramsgate and with the help of Global Generation Church the building was transformed and modernised with a kitchen, juice bar & multipurpose functioning areas. This work has continued & today the church while a small congregation has a growing outreach through weekly coffee lounge, mid week drop in meetings, Alpha course & Sunday breakfast outreach into the local community. We are a friendly welcoming church that celebrates each persons individuality and encourages them to serve practically and spiritually and give back into our local community.

We believe in the sovereignty of God the Father, God the son, and ...More |
|
We believe in the sovereignty of God the Father, God the son, and God the Holy Spirit.
We believe in the divine inspiration of the bible as the word of God, and its consequent entire trustworthiness and supreme authority in all matters of faith and conduct.
We believe in the universal sinfulness of fallen man, making him subject to God’s judgement unless repentant from the heart.
We believe in the substitutionary sacrifice of the incarnate Son of God as the sole and all sufficient ground of redemption from the guilt and power of sin from its eternal consequences.
We believe in the justification of the sinner solely by the grace of God through faith in Christ Jesus crucified and risen from the dead.
We believe in Baptism in water by total immersion , as a sign of repentance and turning to Christ by all those able to make such personal commitment.
We believe in a illuminating regenerating indwelling and sanctifying work of the Holy Spirit.
We believe in the Baptism of the Holy Spirit by which gifts of the Holy Spirit are released through the people of God, as revealed through the scriptures
We believe in the priesthood of all believers who form the universal church of the body of Christ of which Christ is the head and which is committed by his command to the proclamation of the Gospel throughout the world.
We believe in the expectation of the personal visible return of the lord Jesus Christ in power & Glory
