| Life is a journey of change, often driven by heartbreak, sorrow or joy. As people undertake the journey of what T.S. Eliot calls, “This dream crossed twilight between birth and dying”, they are often drawn to question their experiences and search for a deeper meaning than simply what they understand from their senses.
In this search for something that explains much of our human condition we are often driven to find a sense of otherness, a life force, a creator or some form of belief you find it easy to relate to. This may even be faith in the glories of human effort itself. Often the questions are too much for us to comprehend but this does not mean we should give up asking, it is the most natural thing in the world to keep searching for the truth. St Augustine said, “Lord, you have made us for yourself alone, and our hearts will always be restless until they find their rest in you.”
